設計した「Seis」に新しい看板ができました。看板デザインに足かけ3年。
スチール看板、石造の看板、版築の看板、いくつものパターンを考え、
試行錯誤した結果、コールテン鋼の看板になりました。
”錆びていく”という日々の変化を楽しめる、
そんな場所になってほしいという想いから、背後にあるかずら石と同じかたちの看板を作成しました。
石が持っている普遍的な強さに負けないように、
変化する看板の強さが出てくればと願っています。
錆びていくのが楽しみです。

A new signboard for "Seis" that we designed has been completed.
It has been 3 years since I started designing signboards.
After considering a number of different patterns, including steel signs, stone signs, and rammed earth signs, and through trial and error, we ended up with a Cor-ten-steel sign.
We created a signboard in the same shape as the Kazura stone behind it because we want it to be a place where you can enjoy the daily changes of ''rusting''.
I hope that the ever-changing strength of the signboard will not succumb to the universal strength of the stone.
I'm looking forward to seeing it rust.
